Honda Civic 2000 DX hatchback, 104375miles. Standard trans.

2 years ago, (around 84k miles) my car started falling to 100 or 200 rpm when I would come to a stop or when I would turn at low speeds. After a few times doing that, it would then proceed to stall when I came to a stop or a turn. I could restart the car without a problem but every subsequent stop sign or turn in would make my needle drop to less than 200 rpm (without stalling). After 10- 15 minutes of driving, it would stall again. I took it to Honda and they cleaned some wires and some sensors. They also said that the problem occured because I did not have enough oil. Everything was fine for the next 8 months (by now, we are at roughly 92000 miles)until winter came around. When I would start the car in the morning and the engine was very cold, It would turn at 2000 rpm when I came to stop signs and traffic lights for the first 5 minutes. However, after 10 minutes or so, rpms would dip under 200 like previously mentionned until the car finally stalled. So we had the same problem over again. I took it to Honda and they changed my AIC valve. Now, 12000 miles later, the problem is occuring again. The car was fine but as Winter rolled in this November, I started having the same problem again. The car will have a high RPM when I come to a stop for the first 5 minutes (2000-2500 rpm) then it will progressively drop to between 600-100 rpm at slow down, before finally stalling at the next stop sign. I will restart the car then it will stay below 500 rpm but it will rarely stall again after it has stalled once. However the shaking and rattling at every stop sign plus the constant watch on the idle is very annoying. Because I have absolutely no knowledge of cars, I would like to know what to tell my dealership who keep doing questionable jobs while telling me this cannot happen to Honda's. When the

A couple of things for you. Have you taken the car in to Honda to get an ignition switch replaced? There is supposed to be a recall on that and the replacement is free.

When you experience this dropping in the idle can you tie it in any way to a dead battery, disconnected battery, blown master fuse?
