I have a 97 HOnda Civic- 106k miles and the signal lights won't cancel when you turn the wheel back. I realize there is probably something small piece of plastic broken on the mechanism. However, my real concern is working on the steering column so close to the air bag (SRS system) as I would hate to set the air bag off by accident.

Any suggestions?

Thank you! :)

Hi there,

Your correct about the airbag, don't touch it and have your dealer replace the switch, it will be considerably cheaper than having the air bag system fail or deploy.
