I just bought this car, seems as though it needed a battery, put in new battery, it started right up, let it run for 10 min shut it off and it would not restart, I got it to jump start before I put the new battery in, and jumped it successfully once with new batt. Its has 12.9-13.0v at batt. terminals, sometimes it will try to roll over, sometimes just a click, and sometimes nothing. the connections are clean and tight. and the cables didnt get crossed at all. Did I get a faulty Batt.?

When it is running is that the voltage or is that the voltage when it is setting and not running? When you get the car running have you driven it and does it seem to run pretty good and for a good period of time. Obviously, there are major components that could be involved, ie the starter, the alternator and the ignition switch. Give me some more info.

Is it possible to check with the previous owner as to whether they took the vehicle in for a new ignition switch. Honda's are noted as having problems in this area and there are recalls on some models for bad ign. switches.
