2005 Honda Civic 4 cyl Manual 40,000 miles

My car feels like it's about to die out when the rpms get pretty high. I'll try to accelerate pretty fast and it'll resist until I shift to the next gear. What do I do to allow me to go faster?

First, it sounds like a sensor. I need you to know that all emission components are covered for 5 years or 50,000 miles. You are within the miles, but I don't know when the car was delivered new. There is a good chance it is covered under the factory warranty 100%.

Has the check engine light come on?
