the reason for SRS light on, recent inspection and emmission tested. Light on for no apparent reason.

Hi sandymohan,

You need a diagnostic scan to find out what is causing the SRS indicator lamp to show and proceed with rectification.

I have a honda civic 2001, the SRS light on this car came on suddenly for no apparent reason and stayed on. After reading several forums, i took it to the Honda Dealership and they fixed it for no charge. Honda civic's made through 2001-2003 apparently have had this problem and honda has extended the warranty on these cars until 150,000 miles or 10 yrs.
