Hi.I have 1st gen honda civic. It is carb engine. The problem is when I try to start the car it is not starting.I try 5 times then it starts. But engine wants to stop sometimes stop sometimes not stop. And when engine starts there is white somke from the exahust pipe. Just 1 seconds. Every start it is happening. What could be the problem exactly?Thanks

I have worked on that version. They had problems with the head gaskets. I would suggest having the head planed and replacing the head gasket. Car is probably using coolant. That can effect the starting of the car. They don't like to burn water and gas.
