Hi, guys
I hope you can help. I have a 98 civic and the normal gas milage is about 400 to 410 depending on driving conditions. However, recently I have only been getting 200 miles until I get to a half tank and then I am only getting 50 to 75 after for a total of 275 miles. That is quite a drop. I had my usual mechanic look over the car and he changed the distributor unit and cleaned the throttle body. After paying the 775.00 for what I could have done in my garage the car is still getting crappy milage especially when running the a/c. Also when the a/c is running I have a serious power loss. The car literally loses speed even if I have the pedal to the floor. I think it could be a combination of a couple of things but don't want to take it back to the mechanic. Any advice would be much appreciated.
Thanks Friscoj72
