There is a clicking when accelerating and decelerating. What could it be?

Usually a clicking noise is related to worn out cv joints (axles). Usually they only click when you are accelerating. However, if they are badly worn they can click on deacceleration as well.

Does it change when you turn the wheel? It may also be a loose backing plate or something of that nature. Are your axle boots ripped?
