Find the IACV on the throttle body-take it out and clean it that don't work start looking for vacuum leaks-

Or give it a major tune-up

thanks for the help. how much do you think it would cost to take the car to a shop and have them take it out and get it cleaned? my dad is in the navy and on deployment right now and hes the one that usually helps me with my car.

Son

You need to start learning things without your daddy-Get the book and start reading and find it (The Idle Air Control Valve-) collect all his tools in the shed and go at it. When you get lost holler at me.

I started messing around with cars when I was 14th. If I could then you can. Someday he's not gonna be around for you-you know what that means right!. So get going and get the car rolling again, don't wait for him to comeback otherwise you wasted my valuable time here.

Good LUck and am waiting for results when you do comeback-
