1997 Honda Civic Oil loss

Hi,

My Civic has lost ~4 quarts of oil in between oil changes. There's no signs of externa leaks - no dark spots on the driveway, none of the tell-tale sludge accumulating on the engine's exterior. Any idea what's going on and how do I address it? I just bought the car used from a dealer ~ 3 months ago.
