engine sputters when trying to hold constant speed such as 55 mph. idle okay, start okay, up to speed ok, fast take off okay. Help!

I would scan it first to see if there are any pending or current trouble codes in the system.
If there are none, I would first check the basic tune-up items, if they are fine then you must hook up a scantool and read all the data PID's while the vehicle is acting up. It may be a sensor that is out-of-range.
