1996 Honda Civic Transmission Trouble Code

I'm getting a trouble code P1768 and the only information I can find is that's it's the automatic transaxle. Does anyone know the specific component that the code refers to. Thanks.

Hi drowser,

Is the Check engine light showing?

If the trans is not fully electronically controlled, ie. it has a trans throttle pressure cable(1996 models most are without TCM), then the OBD II scanner reading is non comprehensive and would not have a linear solenoid.

Only one problem can cause the code, faulty or disconnected lock-up solenoid.
