Hi I have a 96 civic ex 5spd 100,000 miles, I broke a water pump hose and then replaced the hose and a week later broke the top radiator hose so I replaced all coolant hoses and thermostat, Now what is happening with the coolant is the coolant from the radiator is going into the over flow and have to put the coolant back from overflow into radiator and every time I take the radiator cap off to check the level of coolant it has alot of pressure even when cool. Thank you for any help on this, I am stumped. And this site has always been very helpful!

Hello, this is Ted.
I b-leive you have a blown Head Gasket. Engine combustion is pushing coolant back through. A quick verification is this : Make sure overflow cap on, take off the Radiater cap. Disable engine from starting, turn engine over & see if coolant shoots up out of Radiater. If it does, that confirms Head Gasket. Sometimes, you have to run car w/cap off for a few minuetes then see if it shoots out, do that secound. Pull plugs & check for wetness. Check engine compression if needed.
Good Luck.
