I have a 96 civic with a recent replacement engine with approx 60,000 mi on it. I have been getting an oil smell while driving. I have since discovered oil in the air filter compartment under the filter. What could be the possible causes for the oil?

Hi there,

This is due to heavy engine breathing, you may need to report this to the installer and see if you have a warranty claim, i would suggest that a leak down test is done and make sure that the correct grade of oil is being used, was the engine a full re co and was there a run in requirement?
