I have no oil pressure after replacing head gasket. I had oil pressure before the change. I have drained all coolant/oil from oil pan and added fresh 5w-30. I am not getting oil to head or filter. Checked to make sure oil sending unit is plugged in and it is. Oil pump is mechanical and worked a few hours ago. What am I missing here guys. Help-me please.

You need to hook up a mechanical gauge and check the oil pressure. No pressure could mean the oil pump pressure relief valve stuck open or the pick up screen is clogged up/engine bearings/clogged oil galleries-etc

Ok.. I pulled oil pick up tube to checked screen and it and pan, had allot of sludge from the blown head gasket. Cleaned it and reinstalled. Still no oil pressure at all.. zilch not a drop being pumped. Will check relief valve while I have the pump exposed. I know it was working before head gasket was changed due to coolant/oil mix found at the top of head.
