well i did the compression test, and the fact is that the results came out to be the valves or the valve seals. Should i just take the head off and do all the valves and seals, or should i just do the ones that are bad. now when i do this i have to to a timingbelt and water pump. Right?

No you cannot put a 1.7 in your civic. Put the 1.6L back in.

Do a compression test to see what is really going on.

If u change to the 1.7 u will probably have to change the ecu, so if u have that then u might as well rebuild that 1 b4 u put it in and that way u are putting in a brand new engine and your car shouldn't be off the road for more than a day. Then u can decide what to do with the 1.6, sell/rebuild/performance? If not then I would do what the other guy said.
