Just recently my 1996 Honda Civic DX has started having severe hesitation once the car is at running temp. The hesitation is only in low rpms or under a heavy load. The check engine light will also flash under the hesitation. I have changed the wires and plugs and cleaned out the Throttle body none of which helped. My OBII port is bad so I am unable to check and see what code it is throwing. Any help would be great.

From reading it seems it could be an O2 Sensor bad, EGR valve or TPS Sensor. But I just dont want to start replacing stuff.

Hi NGASales,

Thank you for the donation.

At diagnostic coupler, bridge the # 4 and # 9 terminals and that would be the SCS mode where you can read the blinking of the CEL to find out the trouble code. Let me know what you find.
