I went to change the brakes on my car. When I went to remove the lug nuts on the drivers side 2 of the studs (the thing the lug nut screws on to) broke off inside the lug nut. I am just wondering how do I go about relpacing them?

Hi g_v_637,

Remove the brake caliper assy and rotor.

Knock them out with a hammer, do not bang with too much force, might damage the wheel bearing.

Use a suitable nut to tighten from outside to pull the studs into position.

If you do not have enough space to install the new studs, then you have to remove the CV joint nut and pull the hub out to get enough clearance.

Be careful to tighten CV joint nut properly failing which the bearings will get damaged.

Still wanna try it? :)
