1994 Honda Civic Motor swap

1994 Honda Civic 4 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic

My question is I took the car to the shop after I noticed some lagging while driving turns out I droped a cylinder and am only running on 20%, best option new motor I am a car guy but have never done this on a fwd vehicle (mostly classics) is it worth doing and any suggestions on where to look for step by step instruction for installations or better left to the porfessionals? Also i heard this motor was interchangable with some acuras any truth to this

The swap is very easy.

Yes integra motors are interchangeable, however they are not cheap and you must changeover a lot of parts (mounts, transmission, axles, linkage, PCM, distributor, starter, alternator, etc).

For step by step procedures go out and purchase a service manual for your vehicle. Haynes makes a good product.
