My driver's side passenger manual window fell and my husband tried to fix it but a plastic piece broke off. He managed to get it to go back up without falling. It's been up for over 2 years and I want to get it fixed. He thinks we need a new door?

Please advise.

Hi there,

You can replace the window regulator. that is the mechanism the raises and lower the window, the glass is attached at two points and the regulator is bolted to the door frame (internally) these can be a bit tricky to remove, so if you want to attempt it be very careful to support the glass in the up position so you get as much access to the regulator as possible. when the regulator is unbolted you can manouver it out of the door cavity for removal.
