You may have the throttle postion sensor checked out. They normally wear around the idle and just off idle postions since that is were they normally operate at.

I am going thru some what of a similar problem as to where the car putters when going, and it seems to lack power in a 1998 Civic. I am currently looking into it and have found that it could be an ignition problem (ie: cracked cap or bad coil etc...) Look into this if the other suggestion doesn't work.

Good Luck

As of last night I pulled the cap and wires and one of the wires i pulled is covered in a powder almost rusty/white color. In talking to my Dad (22 yr mechanic) he suggested to look for lines in the wire (ie: streaks of that rusty powder) and sure enough there is... Which is cracks and now it is arhing causing the mis-fire... Im not sure if that is all of it or not, but it could be.
