hi, i have been having many problems with my car overheating lately. I have pressure tested the radiator cap and radiator, the water pump is fine, the fan works but im not sure if it comes on when my car starts to run hot. When my car is running too hot the anti freeze starts to boil out of the overflow. Please help me with this it is causing many problems with my everyday driving and my money because i have to put in anti freeze almost everyother day.

Hi,you need a temp gun - they're gettin' real cheap and are handy for t-stat operation check (or replace it ), fan operation check, (what does "not sure if it comes on....mean), radiator flow, and it's good for parties, too....?). You also need a "block check" kit (follow instructions that come with it) for combustion gases in cooling system....Maybe a Honda guy will pipe up but it seems I've heard of head gasket problems being common with age/mileage you have. Oh, I guess it's called a "non-contact thermometer with laser sighting" - get one with at least two laser dots.
