my 93 civic has a d16a6 sohc vtec 1.6l motor. heres the really confusing part.. on cold start starts normaly runs normally. when reaches normal operating temp (i.e. fan turns on twice and verified by digital thermometer) when you ease the throttle down it revs normaly and smothly through the rpm range.. but when you snap the throttle sudenly the motor dies...(it gets better) not only that it actually runs BACKWARD!!!!

I have checked the ground locations i have checked::
TPS even sweep through voltage range
MAP even voltage under vacume
fuel presssure 37 psi at run 41 with regulator unplugged
coil ohms normal according to manual
I DO NOT GET A MIL LIGHT durring normal opperation when snap throlttle and engine dies i get a CODE 3 which indicates a malfunction in the MAP but unable to verify by volt meter
