I just had the Ignition Distributor replaced on 9/24/09 and my car has been making a whistling noise that is very loud when driving. Its louder at slower speeds it seems. This started around the beginning of October (whistling noise), is there a possible connection? They had me buy a warranty on the distributor because they said they go bad alot. Fingers crossed! They also told me that this had nothing to do with a tune up. Is that true?

Thanks,
Know very little, but some Girl!

Best bet would be to get it checked out by a mechanic.

It may be a vacuum leak, or it may be a worn accessory belt.

I am going to take it back to the same mechanic if its possibly the distributor.

Also, does this normally get replaced with a tune up? The distributor ignition?

Thanks for you help!

Curious!

A distributor is not a tune-up item. It is replaced when it fails.

The only ignition tune-up items are:
spark plugs
spark plug wires
distributor cap and rotor.
