I JUST BOUGHT A 93 CIVIC AND WHEN I TURN IT ON IT WONT STAY ON UNLESS I STEP ON THE GAS. THEN AFTER THAT I HAVE THE PEDAL ALL THE WAY TO THE FLOOR AND IT DOSENT ACCLERATE. AND IF I LET GO OF THE GAS IT DIES. I WENT TO A MECHANIC AND HE TOLD ME IT WAS THE THROTTLE BODY AND I PUT IN A NEW ONE AND IT STILL DOES THE SAMETHING.

Try cleaning out the idle air control and also test the TPS closed and WOT voltages-refer to repair manual.

Hi jlozan6,

On top of what rasmataz has suggested if they don't work, I would suggest checking the fuel pressure, ignition timing, valve timing and compression.
