I recently had my electronic distributor replaced. A few days later I stopped receiving power to the radio/clock while the car is moving (it comes on when the car is on and stopped, but goes off when the gas pedal is pressed). After a week of that, today my battery light came and stayed lit for a five minute drive, but my clock had power at the same time. I had the alternator replaced about five years ago. Do I need a new one?

could be the alternator, the regulator (built-in) its not working right and the voltage could be up and down, which can cause serious damage to your electrical system, remove it and have it bench test it.

let us know after that.

good Luck!
