Hi, my car has been giving me this problem for a few months. sometimes not all the time i will go to start my car and will crank over but wont start. sometimes it will i will drive somewhere fine shut car off do wha ttim doing then when go to start again sometimes it start then stalls out right away. Then times wont start for a while 10 min later will start and run fine again. Last night started car back up and it stalled and hasent stated sence just cranks over. i check spark and doesnt seem to be sparking now. i did check it one time when wouldnt start and it was sparking seem red.

You have an electrical issue. Boy that was obvious right? There are a number of items to look at but I would start again with the spark. No spark or weak spark would indicate that the ignition coil is at fault. If it has 12 volts in to it but is not kicking anything out replace it. Other causes could be a sensor like the crank, cam orTDC. But start with the coil.

H ii check the spark of the coil there power and check the spark coming off the connector that hits into the distubutor cap and there power off that. but there no poer off the wire when cap is on when i put a plug on it and ground it. im thinking the cap or rotor is bad. replace it 2 years ago. but the cap has a broken screw so there only 2 screws so doesnt seal perfect. what you think?

Hi, i also wanted to ask about my car . when i go up big hills i get a smell like electical smell i only get up hills. come fronm under the hood what you think
