Air Conditioning problem
1992 Honda Civic
Today I took my 92 Honda Civic to a repair shop to check out my system. The pop off valve had blown all of the freon out so they put a new one on from a compressor left over ($25 charge) and then they told me they had to charge up the system.
After charging up the system with 1.5 pounds of refrigerant ($50 charge) the a/c only blows out hot air. They told me I needed to replace the compressor, expansion valve and condensor.
My question is this: Should I be getting cold air blowing through the vents, and if I should what is possibly wrong. The compressor does come on, but only hot air. I feel like I have wasted $130
Thanks,
Paul
