Engine Mechanical problem
1990 Honda Civic 4 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic 200+th miles
----------------------------------------------------------------
One of my four plug wires started to hiss the other day. Like a tiss, tiss, tiss, out of the small hole on the top of the plug cap. The other three do not do this. I went to change the spark plugs today to see if that was the problem and the spark plug in that chamber was I believed stripped or something, it was really hard to get out, did not turn progressively easier as I loosened it and the when I put the new spark plug in, it was much tighter, like the threadings in the chamber were stripped or something. Is it a seal, do I have to replace the casing that the spark plug goes into. Thanks guys. How much will it be, of course, approximately.

I think the noise you heard was exhaust escaping around the plug.Probably got loose and the hot gas did some thread damage.
There is a repair kit for stripped spark plugs in alluminum heads. Makes the hole bigger you rethread and screw in new threads.
The draw back is if you screw this up you will be replacing the head.
Not sure what a shop would charge figure 1 to 2 hrs. at the rate in your area plus $40 for kit.
Hope this helps
