I wanted to know how to read and check the engine light code on my 90 Civic HB. I think it's a 1.5 liter dual point fuel injected. I don't know how to read it and I think it may be my Idle air control valve because the rpms going up and down from 1500 to 500. I just need some steps on how to check the codes and maybe clearing it. Thanks.

Well hadn't done the engine light yet, but my car is getting hard to start now. I had to pump my gas pedal for it to work. It may be my fuel filter or my injectors I'm thinking. I can feel my car jump a little while taking off like it's hard for the engine to breath or not getting fuel. But when at idle, the rpm still goes a little up and down from 1500 to 500. It maybe my ile air control valve too right? To clean it, can I use carb cleaner or throttle body cleaner? Or I it better to buy a new one, which is expensive. Somewhere right there. But I will try the engine check light soon. Thanks dude.

Clean out the idle air control valve could be sticking and also look for vacuum leaks
