My wife was driving it one day and she heard a loud pop followed by loud grinding noise. I looked and seen cv axle was busted so i replaced it. Turned on the car sounded good. Put it in reverse and the loud grinding noise returned. Now the ginding noise is back and the vehicle will not move. Please Help Thanks in advance.

The axle is in improperly. It's not fully seated inside the differential.

That grinding noise you hear, is the axle chewing up the splines on the differential.
