i have an 89 civic DX that I recently converted from DPFI to MPFI. My problem starts when I accelerate hard, car bogs and doesn't respond well. I have cleared all CEL codes, tripple checked wiring, checked for fuel and spark. Car has new plug, wires, distributor cap, and rotor. Timing belt has been replaced and was checked for correct timing. I have replaced the ignition coil and the ICM (used from a working distributor that was from a DX, same componenets.) This has helped the car quite a bit. Car idles fine but takes three times of turning the key to start up. Car sounds like it pops inside the intake mani when it's cold and does so when you gradually tap the throttle. injectors were inspected and cleaned before install. inspected all hoses and intake mani for vacume leaks. The only thing I havent checked is ecm, map sensor voltage, and fuel pressure. The only other thing I can think of is biteing the bullet and buying a new distributor. I could be replacing bad parts with bad parts. I will check ecm and map sensor first. What else could it be??? Stumped! Help!!!!
