I have a 6 cylinder 2000 Accord, 72,000 miles, with four headed spark plugs. At a stop light, I guess, I had pressed the gas pedal too much, that the RPM meter shot up very high, very quickly, close to the high limits (red range on the RPM meter), but there is no great movement in the car. I was surprised, how it all happened so quickly. Immediately the head lamps failed and there is jerky movement. Not knowing the probelm I slowly drove to the next light (half a mile) and there the car stopped. The dash board lights glow with very little brightness and they flucatuate. The car does not start. Even when jump started, it does not stand up; it stops when the jump starter is removed.

What could have happened, what kind of electrical fialure and/ or clutch failure, Iam not sure. I have not yet used the code reader so far.

Please advise, what could be the problem

Regards

I take it this is a manual transmission. Racing the engine like that and with the problems you face, I would consider having the alternator checked. Did the Check Engine Light come on? It is highly likely that no code will be present. Have the alt. checked first.
