Loose Clutch

Hi,
I have a 1990 Honda Accord, 5spd Manual

I was having problem with the clucth. Now it's "loose".

The clutch won't let me disengage the transmission, I cant change the gear. Even iif I am holding down the clucth all the way in, doesnt work.

I tried starting the car with the gear in 2nd gear position, it starts to roll instantly, which tells me that the clucth can not make the gear "neutral" even if you are holding it down.

Thanks a million for any help.

That is not a cabled system. Not from my experience anyway. But if I am wrong is needs to be adjusted. If not, if is time to crack open the tranny and engine to replace the clutch and the throwout bearing. Sorry about the good news. If the system is not cabled and the pedal does not go to the floor, then the master and the slave are doing their job.
