I have a 1997 Honda Accord, 6 cyl. with 160,963 miles. My problem is my AC. I have recently put freon in it and I know that is not the prob. Sometimes my air is cold and sometime its hot. In the morning time it has a better chance of being cold than in the middle of the day when its hot outside it rarley works. I noticed the clutch dosent come on, but if i take a took and push it inwards then it catches and starts spinning for a lil while and then it stops. when it starts spinning everything is fine, it just wont stay spinning, especially in the heat of the day, also in the heat of the day it is harder to get the clutch to engage. I was thinking maybe its the temp. gauge? or i need a new clutch? please help, its supper hot here in south alabama! thankyou

Sounds with your information as though the clutch is at fault.

From the info you described, you have an a/c clutch problem. The sooner you repair it, the better it is for you. It's cheaper to change the a/c clutch than to change the a/c compressor and a/c clutch. Good Luck.
