Gas smell

I just replaced my heater core for a 1992 Honda Accord LX 142k and when I first start my car in the morning and turn on the heater and defroster I smell some sort of gas smell. HELP!

check evap canister maybe full it is located on fire wall usually on passenger side (black round cylinder) check it out.
