Honda Accord 1992 Mileage: 219800. I was just wondering how much - ballpark - it should cost at a mechanic to get my clutch replaced. It is pretty soft, and I don't want to kill it, but I don't have another car right now. Thanks.

You can buy a rebuilt clutch pack including everything for about $140.00 at NAPA. A good mechanic should be ab;e to put it in for about $200.00 with you supplying the parts. It is not a hard job. This does not include resurfing the flywheel or a rear seal which I recommend. Add another $75.00

Thanks for the tip about the rebuilt clutch pack. The mechanic I use (or used to) won't do a job with parts that they don't sell, so I will probably need to find someone who will. That's a great tip, though, and it will save me some money. Thanks a lot.

Since those parts that losone talked about are from an automotive dealer I would think that most any mechanic would be fine with getting the parts you request. They usually get parts from those places anyway.
