98 Honda Accord will not start

This what I did I put a new starter in my 98 honda accord coupe 4 cylinder. I took out the spark plug wires from the distributor and now it will not start. The starter works just fine but the car will not turn over I tried to jump the car to see if it was the battery but no go can you give some advice

Did you mark the wires at the distributor cap before you took it off.

It is so easy to see the order of the wires but not to tell which of them is number one on the distributor cap. I think where Raz was going is that you may have the wires in the right order and possibly not but they are not correctly on distributor. You need to check that out. That can really mess with things.

Thank you for all your help. I got it right now my thought was already that the wires were wrong and I was not listening to the facts and going on what I thought I saw. Put the the wires in firing order not 1234 order
