95 Accord 2.2L 4cyl 109k
I was exiting the highway and i downshitfed to 4th on the ramp. As i started up i noticed to clutch felt different. I feels like its catching alot sooner (a 1/4 out instead of 1/2) than i used to and and there is hardly any resistance until the "catching point". it has 109k miles. I live in a very hilly area and its tough to parallel park with out riding the clutch a little. Could this be what damaged it, and downshifting at about 55 or 60 killed it. It is still driveable but i dont know for how long.

If the car died on a downshift that is another issue. The softness of the pedal is something else. Open the hood and check the level of the reservoir for the clutch cylinder. If it is low at all start checking around the master cylinder (reservoir you looked at) both in the car and in the engine area for a leak. Then follow the line down to the tranny and the slave unit checking for leaks.

Please explain more about the engine killing.
