I have a 1991 Honda Accord with 145000 miles.

When I make a turn (right or left) there is a 'knocking' or 'clicking' sound that seems to get louder when I accelerate. About 8 months ago it was making the same noise when I'd make a right turn, so I took it to the mechanic where they replaced the RF CV axle but the sound is back now.. :? and worse than it was before. So my question is
what should I have replaced or repaired (CV joints/boots/shaft?) and How much should i look forward to spending? I'd like to go the cheapest route. Thanks!!

I would be that they replaced just one at that time right? If not, warranty! They should be a lifetime component. Try looking under the car at the axles. Each side should have two boots, some newer have three but look at the boots. Did the mechanic replace the CV axle(s) or just put on new boots? By looking at the boots you are looking for rips or tears in the boot and probably a greasy mess. It sounds like CV problems.
