Hi..I am storing my Accord outside to 7 months. The brake rotors have started to rust. How can I prevent rotor rusr? thxx

Hi ssface,

There is a certain kind of wax that can be sprayed to prevent the rust but spraying it is the problem. Without removing the rotors you cannot cover all the surfaces.

If you remove them to spray, might as well keep them indoors.

Will a silicone spray work OK...or will that mess up the pads...??
Also, the WD40 suggests this is a use for their product??

Hi ssface,

Both type of spray won't last for 7 months. I believe WD40 is oil based so is not recommended.

Lacquer would be a better choice and they can wear off once you start using the car again.
