For the last few days, I've noticed that when I apply my brakes, I hear an alarming (and quite frightening) sound almost like my tire is rubbing up against the interior tire cavity. Also sounds like brake pads grinding metal to metal. In addition to that sound, when I apply the gas and drive, I hear another type of grinding sound again like metal to metal grinding. Now, I'd like to believe that its as simple as my brake pads need to be replaced so maybe that explains why I hear the metal to metal grinding when I apply the brakes, but does not explain the sound when I'm in drive. What could it be? I heard it could be my boots need replacing. Any help is appreciated. Also, what kind of cost am I looking at. Please help. I'm freaking out here. Thank you!
