The corrosion from the car batter has eaten (+) cable connection. The metal is almost deteriorated. I noticed the + wire connection went down under the engine of the car. Can I replace that connection without removing that entire wire? What is the best way to remove that corroded part and what tools can I use (if needed) If I can do this myself, can I get the part from an Autozone parts store???

Hello and thanks for the donation! If you are talking about the battery terminal then yes, it is a fairly easy fix. You can buy the terminal end at any local auto part store or even your local Wal-Mart. They only cost 3 or 4 dollars. You replace it buy loosening the bolts of the old (with a socket, pliers, wrench..whatever you have) terminal end and sliding the positive battery cable out of it. Then place the cable back into your new terminal end and tighten bolts back. Replace terminal end onto battery terminal and tighten. Be sure to clean any corrosion off with a wire brush. Then apply some battery terminal grease (ask local part store for some) to the ends, this will help prevent the corrosion on the terminals. An example of a terminal end is below...yours may differ slightly...
