my car is due for 60,000 inspection at the honda dealership. is this really necessary? beacues it's gonna cost $400 for getting this inspection

It is really your choice, but these inspections can find small problems before they turn into big ones.

Check your owners manual, if it a matter of changing oil, inspect this, inspect that, then you could probably do it yourself.
If on the other hand the valve lash must be adjusted, that is probably best left to the professional mechanic, unless you are an experienced one.

thanks for answering my question. i got one more question. i called the dealership today about the 60,000 secvice check he said they going to flush everything, the ATF,coolant,etc. for $400. do you think that's reasonable price and do you have any suggestion? thanks

Yes, I would consider that reasonable. Coolant must be captured, as it is highly toxic. Changing the ATF is excellent insurance against any trans. problems.
Changing oil, ATF, and coolant are the three best maint. items you can do.

Have them inspect for any leaks, check brake pads, CV boots, belts and hoses.

Preventative maint. is the best insurance against very expensive repairs.
