I have a 2003 Accord Lx. Recently I had some work done on it, but afterwards, the stereo and power sockets were not working at all. I checked the fuses under the dash, but they seem fine. Is there anything else I can check before taking in to the dealer??

Hi aytveo,

The power supply for the radio and power sockets are from fuse # 32 in udnderdash fuse box. If you did not test it, try pulling it out to check.

I checked the fuse box in the underdash, however they are working fine. I also checked the ones under the hood, they are working fine as well. What else can I possibly check??

What were the work done prior to this happening?
If you had removed the radio ot the center panle, check the ground connections.
Did you test if power is available at the power socket?

I had the car checked for a problem with the gear shift being locked. That problem was fixed, but it seems that some of the fuses under the hood were tested as well. I have not pulled out the stereo out yet. Since both stereo and power sockets have no power at all, is there anything else that I can check before pulling out the stereo?

Make sure the fuses are good. If you have a test lamp, ground it and probe both sides of fuses and make sure both ends have battery voltage.

Use the test lamp to probe the central part of the power socket for battery voltage, ( ensure test light probe is insulated to prevent shorting). If voltage is availabel and the power socket is not working, either the socket is bad or tyou have a bad ground circuit.
