I would like to know how to manually open my gas cover. The lever that opens it does not seem to be working and I cannot put gas in the car unless I get this open. HELP..... I am on empty and need to go to work in the morning. Is there anyone out there that knows the answer to this before I take it to the dealer?

Thanks in advance,

Hi Nancy, You need to pull the trunk trim away slightly to get at the fuel lid cable. Twist and pull at "A" to unlock.

Sometime the metal tab on the fuel doog gets bent out of shape, not allowing the door to spring open. Have someone try to manually open the door from the outside as you pull the release. If it opens, reshape the metal tab to allow the door to pop out when the cable is pulled.
