2003 Honda Accord Engine Cooling Fan turns on and off too o

Hello,

When cold starting my 2003 Honda Accord LX, I notice the engine's cooling fan turns on right away. It turns on and off consistently. I wasn't sure if the fan was suppose to turn on right away when the engine has just been started?

Hi Sheryl,

The cooling fans should not turn on immediately after starting from cold unless the AC is turned ON.

If the AC is not utilised and the fan comes on intermittently, the most likely cause would be a faulty fan switch.
