we have a security patrol, 6 suvs, 5 on patrol 24hrs a day, some rotation, speeds 10-20 mph, ~130k miles/yr
A/C must run (Miami), may go thru grass, not really off-road
What could be the criteria in selecting such a vehicle?

Minimize the boats your brother mechanics can buy ;-)
Synthetic oil, larger radiator and oil cooler sound good to me as a starter
