2001 Honda Accord Timing belt Inquiry

Engine Mechanical problem
2001 Honda Accord 4 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic 200248 miles

What parts are neede besides the timing belt and water pump upon the scheduled service I was told that the balance shaft belt, alternator belt, and various seals sho8uld also be changed according to my local dealership

Hi girando,

Yes, apart from those that youmentioned, the timing and balancer belts tensioner bearings should be replaced.

I would suggest getting the valve clearance adjusted and also replacement of the valve cover gaskets as it has to be removed to get the timing belt cover off.
