I just had the battery replaced in my car at an Advanced Auto parts. When I left the parking lot I noticed my speedometer was not working and the radio was asking for a code. I know the reason for the radio, but is the speedometer problem a coincidence or could they have possibly done something to it when they were installing the new battery?

Its possible. The vehicle spped sensor is located on top of the transmission and if they were yanking on the battery cables they could have popped off the connector to the vehicle speed sensor

Recently my speedometer stopped working, I checked through the book to see if it could of been a fuse but was not too sure what I was looking for, The RPM's worked aswell as the gas gauge, just not the speedometer. Also the check engine light stays on. Any advise?

Your check engine light is on-it means the computer has identified a problem in the engine managment system you need to have it scanned and then comeback with the code/s

My speedometer and odometer stopped working. The vehicle is running without any problems. Is This a sensor problem? If so where is it located.

Thanks

Any applicable trouble codes? There is a vehicle speed sensor, vss. I'd check voltage and ground at the sensor. Fuse 6-- 15 amp goes hot when you turn on the key, not only check the fuse, check for voltage on the fuse circuit.

I just changed my spark plugs and disconnected the battery to clean the terminals. When I went to test drive the car. The speedometer was not working?
